The BC athletic Commissioner has now set out the policies for Amateur Muay Thai contests in British Columbia.
Further to the Camiseta Selección de fútbol de México powers provided to the Commissioner by means of section 2(2) of buy in Council 2013-342, the Commissioner has adopted, on a provisional basis, the association of Boxing Commissions Unified policies as well as guidelines for Muay Thai.

These are not obviously set in stone with the athletic Commissioner encouraging that variations may be tolerated supplied that any type of modifications to the applicable policies “be authorized in composing by the BCAC in development of any type of contest or event.”
The BCAC additionally advises that policies for amateur kickboxing are not yet in location as well as that policies for this sport “are still being established at this time.“
